About Me
At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, my mother was diagnosed with advanced-stage cancer, bringing a whole new sense of purpose to my role in her life. Forced to isolate from loved ones, she relied almost entirely on healthcare professionals for support, gaining access to many specialists in her final months of life. But, instead of receiving the consistent, coordinated care she desperately needed, she became caught in a confusing web of outdated protocols, conflicting guidance, and communication gaps between providers.
Seeing the tangled-like mess of my mom’s care was heartbreaking—not just as her daughter, but as a surgical-oncology nurse. I was used to navigating complex care systems, but witnessing the gaps from a family member’s perspective was something else entirely. It exposed just how damaging inconsistent communication can be and made me question whether I could truly make the impact I wanted to from inside the hospital walls. That’s what led me to medical writing.
Today, I specialize in creating evidence-based oncology education that helps healthcare professionals get aligned with one another, keep up-to-date, and be better prepared to support their patients. Offering my clients a unique blend of clinical experience and personal insight, I find fulfillment in knowing that my work as a medical writer is improving the quality of life (and death) of cancer patients, worldwide. Being able to channel both my clinical training and lived experience into practical tools that support providers and protect patients is a joy and a privilege.
If you're looking for a writer who understands the science and the stakes, I invite you to explore how my services can support your next oncology project.
